Toshko Yordanov, deputy chair of There Is Such a People (TISP), arrived in Kyustendil on Saturday to launch the party’s campaign in the city. He commented that the Petrohan case has shown how vulnerable normal human relationships, and attitudes toward children, can be. According to him, the issue of the family remains among TISP’s key priorities.
Yordanov said his party would rely on traditional Bulgarian values when it comes to the Bulgarian family. “We believe that migrants in Bulgaria should be extradited to the countries they came from. We also believe that the country must discipline its fiscal behaviour and put an end to uncontrolled borrowing, as this condemns future generations to serious problems,” he said.
On energy policy, he argued that Bulgaria should withdraw as quickly as possible from the so-called Green Deal, as it increases electricity costs for every Bulgarian household. “Prices are already high because of the quotas imposed, which are essentially an accounting mechanism that further burdens and raises the cost of electricity for consumers,” he added.
Yordanov noted that his visit to Kyustendil coincides with the city’s holiday and the first day of spring, which he described as a symbolic beginning. “This year, the election campaign begins with the arrival of spring,” he said, adding that he had seen the first storks on his way to Kyustendil. He also emphasized that the party’s candidate list in the city includes well-educated and capable individuals.
