A man stabbed three people in Sofia’s Poduyane borough, killing one of them, the Centre for Emergency Medical Services told BTA on Thursday.

The emergency call came in at 5:40 am, with three ambulances sent to the scene.

A medical team confirmed the death of a 21-year-old man. A 15-year-old girl with multiple stab and cut wounds was taken to Pirogov. A 78-year-old woman with stab and cut wounds to the abdomen and chest was taken to ER University Hospital Queen Joanna.

A 44-year-old man with a minor cut to his arm was also at the scene, the Emergency Medical Service added.

One person was detained after the incident, the Sofia Directorate of the Interior told BTA.
