site.btaGovernment Declares National Security Interest in Ammunition Production Project

The Council of Ministers has adopted a decision confirming the existence of a fundamental national security interest in the implementation of a project for the design, construction, author’s supervision and commissioning of production facilities for energetic materials and propellants, as well as a plant for the manufacture of 155 mm ammunition, together with all auxiliary activities required for their construction.

The contracting authority for the design, construction, author’s supervision and commissioning of the facilities is Iganovo EAD, a wholly state-owned company whose shareholder rights are exercised by the Minister of Economy and Industry. The company was established specifically to implement the project for the construction of a plant for energetic materials and propellants and a plant for the production of 155 mm ammunition, with an initial capital of EUR 50,000.
