Traffic for heavy vehicles over 12 tonnes has been restricted on the Simitli–Gotse Delchev road (at km 106) via the Ilinden–Exochi border checkpoint due to a protest by Greek citizens, Road Infrastructure Agency said on Friday. Drivers are waiting on site, the Agency said.

Earlier on Friday, the Border Police General Directorate warned that, because of strike action and blockades by Greek farmers, difficulties are expected for both passenger cars and heavy trucks at all border crossings between Bulgaria and Greece, in both directions.
