Political Leaders Extend Christmas Greetings to Bulgarians

President Rumen Radev, outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and political leaders extended their Christmas greetings to the Bulgarian people on December 25.

In his Facebook message, President Radev wished that the great Christian holiday bring health, warmth and hope for a better future to every Bulgarian family and home. He stressed that by preserving traditions, the legacy and timeless values of Bulgaria’s ancestors, Bulgarians carry their spiritual unity through the centuries. With faith in goodness and mutual support, society can overcome any challenge and emerge stronger, the President said, wishing bright and blessed holidays.

Outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov also congratulated Bulgarians on the occasion, posting his message on the official Facebook page of the Council of Ministers. He wished citizens health, happiness and prosperity, noting that Christmas brings people together with their loved ones and opens hearts to kindness and mutual support. During the holiday season, Bulgarians reaffirm their belief in eternal values such as mercy, compassion and respect, he said, adding that Christmas should give strength and unity to all Bulgarians. 

Parliament Chair Raya Nazaryan wished Bulgarians shared happiness with loved ones, warmth and love in their homes, personal success, and national prosperity. She emphasized the Christian values of mercy and faith, encouraging citizens to pursue their dreams with wisdom and dedication.

GERB leader Boyko Borisov wished Bulgarians a “Merry Christmas” in a post on his Facebook page at midnight.

The Continue the Change wished citizens peaceful and bright holidays, hoping for light on their path, strength in spirit, and faith in their actions.

Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov wished Bulgarians a Merry Christmas, health, happiness, and prosperity.

MRF - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski extended wishes for health, grace, and faith. He called for goodwill in decision-making to ensure Bulgaria’s stability and prosperity, and hoped every Bulgarian family would enjoy unity, peace, and a happy future for their children.

Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Atanas Zafirov wished peace, love, and faith in goodness, emphasizing the importance of family as the foundation of the State. He encouraged citizens to appreciate traditional values, continue striving with faith and love, and spend the holidays together with their families.

Moral, Unity, Honor (MECh) leader Radostin Vasilev wished peace, understanding, and hope, urging citizens to open their hearts to faith and kindness. He called for unity, respect, and collective responsibility toward Bulgaria during the holiday season.

The Velichie Party wished strength, faith, hope, love, and health. They emphasized being humane, guided by faith, inspired by hope, and united by love, encouraging citizens to celebrate Christmas with a clear mind and pure heart.
