In a video posted on Facebook on Friday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that when elections come around, people immediately start talking about the Election Code, voting machines, and fraud. GERB has won elections with machine and paper ballots alike, "so whatever they decide, it makes no difference to us." He was referring to the current calls for amendments to the Election Code.

"We have policies, we have work done, we have 11 months in which we have achieved a lot - the eurozone, Schengen, higher tax collection, and over BGN 4 billion under the [National] Recovery and Resilience Plan. This is our policy and I am convinced that we will be the leading political force," Borissov said. 

"However, the silence of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria on their own historic record, in which machine voting was defined as 'nonsense with the President,' is devastating. Is their memory so short that they forgot how [President Rumen] Radev directly called them charlatans – and why he did it? Or, in the name of yet another 'assemblage' that is being constructed today, are the skeletons in the closet and the schemes of the past being swept under the rug with calls for 'fair elections', which are only fair when they [CC-DB] like the result?" reads the text accompanying Borissov's video.
