“We will not allow history to be rewritten,” Delyan Peevski, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning, told journalists here on Wednesday whom he invited to his office in the National Assembly to view what he called the “Museum of the Assemblage.” The "assemblage" is  a term used with a negative connotation to refer to the former ruling coalition of unwilling partners Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and GERB, which fell apart before the agreed rotation of governance seats.

“Good afternoon, colleagues, welcome to the "Museum of the Assemblage" - the assemblage that, according to them, never existed,” he announced as he greeted reporters and camera crews.

The room displayed photographs from the plenary hall taken during the adoption of the constitutional amendments, images from Peevski’s briefings with representatives of CC-DB, mock-ups bearing the faces of CC–DB leaders, and more. Recordings of statements by CC–DB representatives could be heard in the background.

At a large table, the leader of MRF – New Beginning presented bills concerning Bulgaria, noting that unlike CC–DB, his political formation does not renounce them. “Once again, we were together and defended Ukraine, and they are probably renouncing that as well,” Peevski said while showing another photograph. “Here we are negotiating together and talking about constitutional reform,” he added. According to him, the room also contained “numerous text messages” exchanged between representatives of the two political forces.

“MRF did many very good things within the assemblage. We governed together with GERB and CC–DB. Every day these people were in my office and in Mr. Borisov’s [GERB leader Boyko Borissov] office,” Peevski said. “The truth is that they have forgotten everything,” he added.

“But what is happening now goes beyond all limits - rewriting history to claim that we had nothing to do with each other, that we did not govern together,” Peevski commented further.

“Their voters should know that these people were with MRF every day for nine months,” he added. According to the leader of MRF - New Beginning, disputes should be resolved on the political field, “not on the field of fights, slaps, and fists.” “We will not adopt that style. Elections are coming - let us see what trust the parties will receive,” Peevski said, adding that his party will remain positive.

“We saw them in the squares releasing videos, renouncing everything. One thing I want to say - I admit that perhaps we showed aggression in response to their aggression,” the leader of MRF – New Beginning also commented, and apologized to his supporters.

“As a leader, I take responsibility for this, but they behaved monstrously,” Peevski added.

PR experts from other parliamentary groups entered the room while he was showing journalists around his office.
