The Christmas train of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) will make two additional trips on its Sofia -Bankya route on December 13 and 14, BDZ said on Tuesday. The additional trips are being organized due to the great interest in the morning holiday compositions, the numerous inquiries and the rapid exhaustion of all tickets within one day, BDZ noted.

For the additional afternoon trips, the train will again consist of three thematically decorated passenger cars and one retro car from the Vitosha Express composition.

Two-way tickets on the Sofia - Bankya - Sofia route cost BGN 46 for adults and BGN 23 for children under 10 years of age. Tickets can be purchased from ticket offices and railway offices at all stations in the country, as well as online.

A second Christmas train is operating on the Gorna Oryahovitsa - Veliko Tarnovo - Gorna Oryahovitsa route for passengers in Central Bulgaria, BDZ also noted.
