As of 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, there are no customers without electricity in Sofia, Electrohold Bulgaria said in a press release.

The company added that thanks to the response of the teams from Electricity Distribution Networks West (ERM West), power that was cut off last night due to a fire in a collector was fully restored within two hours.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the competent authorities.

On Monday night, a fire in a collector operated by ERM West caused the disconnection of 15 medium-voltage feeders supplying parts of central Sofia around 9:00 p.m. According to the company’s statement, electricity had been fully restored by 11:00 p.m.
