Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry denounced the deadly Russian attack on Western Ukraine, condemning ongoing assaults on civilians. “We strongly condemn Russia’s brutal attack on Ternopil and its ongoing assaults on civilians and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law,” the Foreign Ministry posted on X.

“Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Bulgaria stands firmly with Ukraine and its pursuit of a just and lasting peace,” the Foreign Ministry’s post added.

Early this morning, Russian forces attacked the western city of Ternopil and the surrounding area with drones and missiles. Two apartment buildings were hit. The death toll, including children, reached 25, Ukrinform reported, citing emergency services. Another 73 people were wounded, 15 of them children, in one of the deadliest strikes in the region.
