Traffic is heavy for passenger cars at several of this country's border crossing points, the Border Police said on their website on Sunday morning.
At the border with Romania, traffic is heavy for inbound passenger cars. Since renovation of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse is ongoing, traffic is limited to one lane and movement is regulated by the contractor’s staff.
Traffic is also heavy for inbound passenger cars on the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint at the border with Turkiye.
At the border with Serbia, there is heavy traffic for passenger cars in both directions at the Kalotina checkpoint.
Traffic is normal at all border crossing points at the border with the Republic of North Macedonia.
Construction works are underway on the Greek side of the Rudozem-Xanthi route. Authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is a construction site and prohibiting unauthorized access. Only passenger cars and minibuses weighing up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to cross the checkpoints at Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad.
