A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Sivrice in Elazig province, eastern Turkiye, Turkiye Today reported, citing the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
The earthquake occurred 9:09 a.m. Eastern European Time. The epicenter was at a depth of 11.31 km. The earthquake was felt in several provinces, including Malatya, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Kahramanmaras, Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Erzincan and Sivas.
There have been no reports of casualties or significant damage.
