There is heavy traffic at Bulgaria's border control checkpoints with Romania, Serbia, Greece, and Turkiye, Border Police said on their website on Saturday. The information is valid as at 6 am.

At the border with Romania, there is heavy traffic for outbound trucks at the Kardam and Nikopol checkpoints. Due to repair works of the Giurgiu-Ruse bridge over the Danube on the Bulgarian side, traffic is controlled by traffic lights to let vehicles through in stages. Alternatives for the drivers in the region are the Silistra, Durankulak, Kaynardzha, and Kroushari crossings. The last two of these are closed to heavy-duty trucks; they are open to passenger cars from 8 am to 8 pm.

At the border with Greece, there is heavy traffic for outbound trucks at the Kulata checkpoint. Only passenger cars and mini vans are allowed through the Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad crossings.

At the border with Turkiye, there is heavy traffic for outbound trucks at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint.

At the border checkpoints with Serbia, there is a delay in the processing of freight vehicles due to a technical issue.

Traffic is normal at all border crossings with North Macedonia.
