Heavy traffic for trucks reported at the Kardam border checkpoint at the exit to Romania, the press centre of the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday. Traffic is normal at all other border crossing points.

Romanian border authorities will not allow trucks over 7.5 tonnes through the Durankulak/Vama Veche checkpoint during the holidays - on April 30, May 2 and 4 from 4 pm to 10 pm; on May 1, 3, 5 and 6 from 6 am to 10 pm.

Only cars and minibuses may pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossings with Greece.

Construction and modernization works are being carried out at the Kalotina checkpoint. It requires temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganization of the traffic of vehicles passing through. During the holidays, those travelling by car should bear in mind that the temporary organization of traffic before and in the area of the border crossing may extend the crossing time, the Border Police warned.
