Kosovo-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce Is Founded

An official ceremony of the establishment of the Kosovo-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (KBCC) took place in Sofia on Wednesday. The event marking the historic step in the relations between Bulgaria and Kosovo was attended by diplomats, entrepreneurs and academics.

Tomislav Tsolov, Chairman of the Board of the KBCC, said that the Chamber will give a strong voice to businesses in their communication with institutions in the two countries. The goal of the Chamber will be to promote and support commercial activities between Kosovo and Bulgaria.

Former Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Solomon Passy expressed support for the KBCC. He vowed to continue to work for the strengthening the bilateral relations as a member of the Chamber.

Kosovo Ambassador Delfin Pllana shared that he expects the organization to turn into a platform for collaboration, which would meet the needs of businesses. Pllana added that the KBCC is the biggest achievement of his tour here and called it a key element in the good diplomatic Bulgarian-Kosovo relations.

At the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Shekerletova presented Pllana with the Foreign Ministry's Golden Laurel Branch Badge of Honour for his outstanding contribution to the development and deepening of bilateral relations.

Kosovar Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, said that economic partnerships are driving forces between both businesses and people in today's geopolitical world. She shared that she expects great achievements from this Chamber.
