Traffic along the Danube Bridge at Ruse will be unrestricted in both lanes during the Easter holidays, from April 10 to April 13. It is expected that on the last working day, April 9, traffic will be restored in the 320-meter section of the lane heading toward Bulgaria, where construction works are currently underway, the Road Infrastructure Agency said.

The major overhaul of the Danube Bridge, which began on July 10, 2024, is being carried out in stages without stopping traffic.

RIA also said that after the Easter holidays, starting April 14, construction works are expected to continue on the final 320 meters of the facility, in the lane heading toward Romania. The estimated completion date for the full renovation of the Danube Bridge is June 2026.
