On this date in Bulgarian history:
1881: State Council is established as supreme authority by princely decree during Full Powers Regime (1881-1883). State Council abolished on November 9, 1883, after restoration of Tarnovo Constitution (September 6, 1883).
1905: First national association of firefighters is set up.
1943: Bulgaria's 60th Government, headed by Dobri Bozhilov, is sworn in (in office until June 1, 1944).
