• Economists' Day.

On this date in Bulgarian history:

• 1966: Union of Jurists in Bulgaria is established.   
• 1974: Diplomatic relations with Mexico restored at embassy level.  
• 1990: Students from the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia go on an occupation strike, which grows into a nationwide one. The strike is called off on July 7, 1990.
• 1999: Diplomatic relations established with The Gambia.  
• 2004: Privatization of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company is completed.
