Police detained seven illegal migrants at the entrance to the northeastern city of Dobrich, the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said Thursday.

During a specialized police operation on October 29, officers set up a temporary checkpoint at the city’s entrance. Around 6:30 p.m., they stopped a Nissan car with Greek registration plates, which had been reported stolen a day earlier, on October 28.

Inside the vehicle, police found seven people - four from Egypt, two from Iraq, and one from Syria, who had entered Bulgaria illegally. The necessary legal procedures have been initiated, the authorities said.
