The initiative aims to familiarize young journalists with the functioning of the institutions of the European Union, with a particular focus on the European Parliament, EU policies, and their implementation in the Member States, within the framework of the values of the European Union.

The training is divided into two modules: national and European. The national module will provide an overview of the competencies, legislation, and policies of the EU institutions. The European module will be held in Brussels in February 2026, and participants who perform best in the practical exercises will be selected to take part.

Lecturers in the program include leading academics and experts in EU policies and affairs such as Prof. Ingrid Shikova, Assoc. Prof. Ralitsa Kovacheva from St Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Nachev from New Bulgarian University, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Lozanov, along with working journalists and representatives of the European Parliament.

MEPs Kristian Vigenin, Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Group, and Ivaylo Valchev, European Conservatives and Reformists Group, will also take part. They will share insights into their work in the parliamentary committees and discuss current topics related to the functioning of the European Union.
