site.btaJoint Governance Council Holds Meeting

The Joint Governance Council has convened in the National Assembly building today, October 21. The consultative body of the ruling coalition is expected to discuss the draft of Bulgaria's state budget for 2026.

Hamid Hamid of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning is in the National Assembly. The party is not officially a member of the government coalition.

On October 20, MRF-New Beginning said in a press release that its leader Delyan Peevski had talked with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and confirmed his full support for the government as long as it "works for the people".

Also today, the Council of Ministers is scheduled to hold a meeting at 10:00 AM. Last week, the regular meeting of the government ministers was called off by Prime Minister Zhelyazkov.
