Every regional directorate of any ministry has its own transportation vehicles, but the Presidency is the only state institution without any, President Rumen Radev told journalists on Monday, in relation to proposed changes that would remove a function of the National Service for Protection (NSP) to provide transport services for the President's administration. The head of State took part in the opening of the school year at the First English Language School and the 112th Primary School in Sofia.
“There’s no problem if it is not the NSP, but they must provide a budget, cars, and drivers,” said the President. According to him, the proposed changes to the law are aimed at creating division.
“Today we won't waste time on such petty daily topics, nor on other ministries tangled in various lies, nor on Mr. Borissov's admissions that the Hemus highway will cost us double. Of course, it will cost us double, I agree with him, since the first payment went out in bags,” Radev commented.
“All successes in Bulgaria's modern history are due precisely to the educated and committed Bulgarian people, dedicated to the cause of education, independence, and freedom,” Rumen Radev also said.
An enlightened and educated nation is immune to demagoguery. In his words, education should instill patriotism and shape the worthy individuals of Bulgaria.
