site.btaPresident Says National Service for Protection's Importance Grows in Dynamic Security Environment

President Rumen Radev who attended the official celebration marking the 146th anniversary of the National Service for Protection (NSP) here on Friday said that the importance of the NSP grows with the growing dynamics in the security environment, the presidential press secretariat reported.

The head of State said that the NSP is a significant factor in the national security system. He added that since its establishment, the NSP has contributed to strengthening state authority while overcoming numerous challenges and withstanding profound political upheavals. He called the organization an essential element of Bulgarian statehood.

The event was also attended by National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, and Vice President Iliana Iotova.
