A solo painting exhibition by Tatiana Parzulova will be presented at Sofia’s Art Gallery 158. The exhibition, titled Alter Ego, will be on display from August 12 to 18, the organizers announced.

The team notes that with her new exhibition Alter Ego, Parzulova showcases works created over the past eight years – a visual diary of the struggle between reason and emotion.

“Abstract compositions, geometric shapes, and experiments with mixed techniques trace various stages of life and reveal the artist’s quest for balance between the rational and the intuitive, between the masks of daily life and the sincerity of the inner world. Alter Ego is an invitation to meet one’s ‘other self’ – a world of inner dialogues, contrasts, and creative freedom,” they say.

Tatiana Parzulova was born in the coastal city of Burgas. She graduated from the Russian High School in her hometown and later from the Karl Marx Higher Institute of Economics, specializing in economics and journalism. She has had a successful career in various sectors of economic life, but art has remained her deep inner longing for “something else.”

“The transformation – the awakening of my other self, rooted in the heart, driven by love and freedom – made me reach for the paintbrush and give form to my spiritual quest,” the artist says.

Her creative path includes the solo exhibitions Transformation (2016, Sofia) and Restart (2016, Stara Zagora), participation in numerous group shows, international projects, biennials, and art workshops in Bulgaria and abroad. Her paintings are part of private collections in Bulgaria, France, and the United States.
