The annual meeting of the economic advisors in Trade and Economic Affairs Offices (STIV) of Bulgaria's diplomatic missions abroad with the Minister of Economy and Industry Peter Dilov, the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, and representatives of Bulgarian business will be held in Sofia on July 23 and 24. The forum will discuss the priorities in STIV's work by countries and regions, opportunities for attracting investments and assisting Bulgarian businesses to enter new markets or expand their positions in existing markets, the Economy Ministry press service told BTA on Friday.
The event will include an award ceremony organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry that will announce the most successful STIVs.
STIVs are independent structural units attached to the country's overseas representations with specific functions and tasks in implementing Bulgaria's foreign economic, investment and trade policy.
Long-term seconded staff in STIV are functionally, financially and operationally subordinate to the Minister of Economy and Industry. The Economy Ministry has 52 staff on long-term secondment to STIV.
