Bulgaria has great potential to position itself as a stable partner for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in key areas such as economy, energy, innovation, and agriculture, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said during a meeting with UAE Ambassador in Sofia Abdulrahman Ahmed Sultan Essa Aljaber.

In a post on Facebook, Borissov wrote that they had had an open and productive discussion that covered various topics of mutual interest. “We talked about expanding trade relations, deepening institutional partnerships, and the importance of creating a favorable environment for business and investment,” Borissov noted.

The GERB leader said that interest in Bulgaria is growing, bringing with it opportunities for concrete investments and joint projects, he said.

The sides expressed a common will to build on the excellent bilateral relations between Bulgaria and the UAE – not only economically, but also through cooperation in education, tourism, and cultural exchange. “We are convinced that with joint efforts we can turn the potential into tangible results that benefit both countries,” Borissov said.
