The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia presented five scientific papers at the International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML 2025) in Vancouver, Canada, the University said in a press release on Thursday.

Two of the papers were included in the main conference programme, while three were featured in specialized research workshops. INSAIT is the only Bulgarian institution with scientific developments at this year’s edition of ICML, the University noted.

The first paper in the main programme analyzes potential unintended consequences of deploying AI models in real-world setting. The research examines their impact on human behavior in areas such as financial decision-making, hiring processes, and social media.

The second paper introduces a new testing framework for generative models designed to solve mathematical problems with constructive solutions. The aim of the work is to improve the ability of modern AI systems to tackle logical and mathematical tasks.

The authors of the papers are Nikita Tsoy, Ivan Kirev, Dr. Nikola Konstantinov, Ivo Petrov, Prof. Martin Vechev, Kristian Minchev, Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, along with international co-authors.
