Local authorities urged residents to immediately take shelter in bomb shelters.

The alarm was sounded at 11:18 pm local time, and the explosions began at 12:30 am.

One person died as a result of the night drone attack in Odesa, the head of the Odesa regional military administration Oleh Kiper reported on the Telegram application.

The man was a security guard at a residential building under construction. As a result of the strike, the security room near the newly built building caught fire.

Despite the active work of the air defence forces, there was destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure in the city, in particular to gas stations and cars, the regional governor informed.

The Bulgarian community in the Odesa region numbers over 150,000 people, making it the third-largest ethnic group in the area, according to Ukraine’s 2001 census. Within the city of Odessa itself, an estimated 50,000 to 60,000 ethnic Bulgarians reside. The largest concentrations of Bulgarians are found in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
