Lyon's Second District Deputy Mayor Jean Stephane Chaillet welcomed participants and guests of the 10th festival mottoed "Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance" (Une ronde autour du monde) which was opened on Friday. 

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the invitation, which allows me to share the richness and diversity of Bulgarian culture, but most of all the enthusiasm and passion with which you share your culture with everyone around you," he said. 

Chaillet addressed the hosts from the Lyon-based Ot Izvora Bulgarian folk group, led by Anita Ekenova: "Lyon is proud to have you, dear Anita and dear dancers."

As the official media partner of the event, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is covering it on site from Lyon on June 6-8. The participating ensembles will be featured by BTA's English service from June 9.
