BTA is organizing BG Tourism - Summer 2025, which starts here on Sunday morning. The event will be launched by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.

This is the 7th edition of the initiative, which takes place twice a year, at the start of the summer and winter tourist seasons. The goal is to discuss promoting tourism in Bulgaria during the upcoming season with representatives of state and municipal institutions, the tourism industry, NGOs, scientists, and experts.

Among the people invited to the forum are Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh; Chair of the parliamentary Committee on Tourism Taner Ali; Secretary to the President for Education, Culture and Tourism, Ilin Dimitrov; representatives of local authorities; heads of tourism organizations and resorts on the Black Sea coast; educational institutions in the field of tourism; heads of media; members of the Union of Bulgarian National Electronic Media; head of the Bulgarian National Radio Milen Mitev; member of the Board of the Bulgarian National Television Anton Andonov; News Editor-in-Chief at bTV Media Group Asen Ivanov; executive producer at Nova Broadcasting Group Metodi Vladimirov.

Prior to Sunday's forum, BTA gathered the opinions of representatives of industry organizations on the expectations and problems in the 2025 summer season. Overall, the industry has positive expectations for the summer tourist season. Among the problems highlighted are shortage of labour, difficulties in moving tourists to the sea due to road repairs, the lack of a differentiated VAT rate in tourism. There was a general view on the need to extend the season through various forms of tourism.

BTA presented the forecasts of the Institute of Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, Bulgarian Association of Travel Agents, Union Future for Tourism, National Board of Tourism, Association of Restaurants in Bulgaria, Association of Incoming Agencies, Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents, and Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
