The ground public transport in Sofia will not run on Friday, the protest continues, Ivan Kirilov, Chair of the Federation of Transport Workers in the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour, told BTA. The employees in the public transport rejected the proposals of Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev, Kirilov said.

He pointed out that the negotiations have failed, the people do not want to end their protest until their demands are met. “We made a concession and are now demanding not BGN 400, but a BGN 300 increase in the salaries of all employees in the ground public transport,” he said.

The blockade of the ground public transport in Sofia has been going on for the second day. The protest is under the slogan "Decent work - decent pay! Without transport, there is no economy!".
