The protest of Sofia's surface public transport began Wednesday under the slogan “Decent Work – Decent Pay! No Transport, No Economy!”
As a result of the protest, only metro trains are running.
Workers in the capital's public transport have been invited to talks with Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev at 2 pm on Thursday.
Public transit workers said that until there are real results from this meeting, they are not going back to work.
The subway will not interrupt its service, Metropolitan Sofia said. Extra trains will be run on lines M1, M2, M4 and M3 at reduced intervals.
