MAY 10: Mostly cloudy skies, with clear spells over Western Bulgaria. Many areas in the south and the east will have almost uninterrupted rainfall. Thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon in the extreme southwest and southeast and in mountains. The south will get considerable amounts of rain. Wind east-northeasterly, moderate. Highs: 14 C to 19 C in most parts, 12 C to 14 C in the northeastern parts, 15 C in Sofia.

The coast: Cloudy and rainy. The southern stretch of the coastline will have abundant rainfall and thunderstorms. Wind east-northeasterly, moderate. Highs: 12 C to 14 C. Sea water temperatures: 15 C to 16 C. Sea waves: 2 to 3 degrees Douglas.

The mountains: Cloudy skies. Rain under 2,000 m, snow at higher elevations. Thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon. Wind north-northeasterly, light to moderate; mountaintops will get moderate wind from the west. Highs: 11 C at 1,200 m, 4 C at 2,000 m.

MAY 11: Low visibility conditions in isolated areas in the morning. Cumulus cloud will develop around noon and in the afternoon, bringing brief rain showers mainly in the mountains, possibly with thunder. Northwesterly wind in the Danubian Plain picking up to moderate speeds; precipitation is little likely in that part of the country. Lows: 5 C to 10 C. Highs: 16 C to 21 C.
