site.btaProsecutor’s Office Delegation, Led by Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, Visits Munich


Acting Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Borislav Sarafov and the delegation he leads are currently visiting Munich, Federal Republic of Germany, the press center of the Prosecutor’s Office reported on Wednesday. The visit is in response to the visit of Bavarian Prosecutor General Reinhard Röttle to Sofia last year.
The Bulgarian delegation includes Viktor Malinov, head of a department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office, Deyan Zahariev, deputy head of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office (SCP), and Yordan Petrov, a prosecutor at the SCP.
The visit's agenda includes meetings with Bavarian Prosecutor General Reinhard Röttle, heads of departments at the Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office, and representatives of the service for combating money laundering and asset recovery in Bavaria. During the discussions, matters of mutual interest will be addressed, focusing on combating money laundering and various forms of cybercrime, as well as the exchange of expert experience.
The Bulgarian delegation also has scheduled meetings at the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA), the Traunstein Prosecutor’s Office, and the special division for criminal prosecution of cross-border crimes within the Bavarian Police.
The visit is expected to confirm and further deepen the active cooperation between the Bulgarian and Bavarian Prosecutor’s Offices in cross-border cases related to combating corruption, financing of terrorism, and other areas, according to the statement.
