site.bta New Art Space in Sofia to Оpen with Denitsa Mihaylova's Еxhibition

An exhibition by Denitsa Mihaylova will mark the opening of a new art space in Sofia. The exhibition, titled "Water - Air - Earth", will be arranged by curator Rumena Kalchev at Gallery 65 on Vasil Levski Blvd. and will open on May 8, the organizers said.

"Denitsa's paintings unite her creative sense of nature, expressed in the transparency of the water surface, the etherealness of the air and the awakening of the Earth after a  long winter. Water - Air - Earth collects her latest works, inspired by this trilogy of natural elements, which the author recreates with an incorrigible sense of colour and a constructive pictorial element, the brushstroke with which she applies the paint to the canvas," the team said.

They noted that in her work, Mihaylova likes to stylize to the point of abstraction, until the specific source of her inspiration blurs its outlines and becomes a sign merging with the flickering colorful surface. With her abstract painting, the author introduces the audience to a world where every line is a look inward towards herself, towards nature, towards silence.

Denitsa Mihaylova was born in Sofia. She graduated with a master's degree in 2004 from the National Academy of Art in Sofia, majoring in Children's Environment Design. She has worked in the field of interior and product design, but continues to develop as a painter. She has had several solo exhibitions in Sofia and Bankya. She has participated in various joint art projects and exhibitions both in Bulgaria and abroad.
