Twelve illegal migrants were found in a passenger car at one of Sofia's entry/exit points, the Interior Ministry said in a press release. An alert about the case was submitted at 10: 30 am on Thursday.

The migrants said they were from Syria. They were travelling in a car with foreign registration.

According to preliminary information, the car got a flat tyre, after which the driver ran away. The police are looking for him.
