Kiril Ravnachki was elected Executive Director of state-owned gas transmission operator Bulgartransgaz by the company's Management Board on April 9. The decision was approved by the Supervisory Board, the company said in a press release.

Ravnachki was Executive Director of the Balkan Gas Hub between 2019 and early 2013. He is Bulgaria's representative to the Steering Board of the EU Energy Platform, set up by the European Commission in 2022.

Ravnachki has been a member of the Bulgartransgaz Management Board since February 2023. Between 2012 and 2018, he worked at the company's Finance Department and headed the Analysis and International Activities Division.

He graduated in economics and business administration from the American University in Bulgaria.

Ravnacki's predecessor Vladimir Malinov has been appointed caretaker Minister of Energy.
