Conditions are not suitable for hiking in the high mountains, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA on Sunday.

In most places in the high parts of the mountains, the weather is cloudy and foggy. Light to moderate wind blow. Temperatures are positive everywhere. Above 1,800 metres there is still snow cover, the MRS said.

Mountain rescuers helped two people on Saturday. One was in Pirin Mountain between Vihren hut and Banderitsa hut - a man with a suspected broken shin. The mountain rescuers from Bansko were involved in transporting him in time before 2:00 pm.

About half an hour later a signal was received via 112 about a man with an ankle injury in the area above Teteven. Five mountain rescuers were involved in the action to help and transport the injured man.
