Bulgaria Condemns Terrorist Attack in Krasnogorsk

On Saturday morning, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev expressed condolences to the families of the victims of a terrorist attack during a concert at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk (a suburb of Moscow) which claimed a large death toll on Friday night.

Radev posted on X: "I deeply deplore the terrible attack in Krasnogorsk, leaving more than 60 dead and many wounded. [Bulgaria] has always condemned all forms of terrorism and assaults against innocent civilians wherever and whenever they happen. Solidarity to the bereaved families and to the [Russian] people."

The Council of Ministers said in a Facebook post: "We unequivocally condemn terrorism in all its manifestations. We call for an investigation and clarification of the circumstances that led to the attack."

"All attacks against civilians are completely unacceptable, and we condemn terrorism in all its form," the Foreign Ministry said on X, expressing most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the attack.

The attack was also condemned by Vice President Iliana Iotova, GERB leader Boyko Borissov, the Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria leadership, Movement for Rights and Freedoms Co-leader Delyan Peevski, the Vazrazhdane party, and There Is Such a People leader Slavi Trifonov.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow has no information about any Bulgarian nationals hurt in the shooting, the Foreign Ministry told BTA on Saturday. The Embassy is in contact with the local authorities, is following developments and is ready to provide assistance if necessary.
