PM Denkov on Baba Marta Holiday: Holidays Connected with Timeless Values Unite Bulgarians

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, who spoke at the opening of the charity bazaar for the Baba Marta holiday at the Ministry of Education and Science here on Friday, said that holidays connected with timeless values will always unite the Bulgarian people.

Children from 26 Sofia schools and kindergartens presented their handmade martenitsas at the charity bazaar. Proceeds from the sales will either go to the respective schools and kindergartens or will be donated to charitable causes picked by the children.

The event was also attended by Minister of Education and Science Galin Tzokov, Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov and Minister of Culture Krastyu Krastev.

In his key remarks, Denkov said: "Baba Marta is a Bulgarian holiday that has endured through the centuries, is current and contemporary, and will endure for centuries to come."
