site.btaReligious Schools and Agricultural Academy Receive Extra Funding

Bulgaria's five religious schools in the system of preschool and school education will be funded with BGN 4,837,760, the Council of Ministers decided on Wednesday, as reported by the Government Information Service.

The ministers also approved BGN 3 million in additional funding for a pay rise for the teaching staff of the Agricultural Academy.

The religious school in Momchilgrad will receive BGN 1,408,528, the one in Ruse will get BGN 441,500, the religious school in Shumen will be supported with BGN 870,579, the Sofia Theological Seminary will be given BGN 1,378,155, and the Plovdiv Theological Seminary will receive BGN 738,998.

The BGN 3 million in extra transfers to the Agricultural Academy will be provided from the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The aim is to adjust the starting base wage for the academic staff. This will help expand the research and innovation capacity of the Agricultural Academy and will facilitate its integration into world agrarian science.
