site.btaConsent Granted to Opening of Moldovan Consulate in Ruse

The Bulgarian cabinet Wednesday granted consent to the opening of a Consulate of Modlova with its seat in the city of Ruse and with a consular district covering Ruse Region, the government information service said. The Honorary Consul, Bulgarian national Stavrin Mihaylov Ginoolu, is expected to work actively for maintaining and deepening the relations between Bulgaria and Moldova.

The opening of the new Moldovan Consulate dovetails with the geopolitical line of enhanced cooperation and partnership between the EU Member States and Moldova, reaffirmed by the decision of the European Council of December 14, 2023 to open accession negotiations with Moldova.

The cabinet's decision will help to expand the scope of stepped-up interaction in the economy, culture, education, tourism and other areas of shared interest.
