site.btaUPDATED GERB Leader Boyko Borissov: We Support the Cabinet if It Does the Right Things
Speaking to journalists on Friday about the derogation for Russian oil, GERB leader Boyko Borissov asked: “How can it be that in the name of oil and money they are ready to coalesce with the so-called opposition parties Vazrazhdane, There Is Such People and the Bulgarian Socialist Party and it is more important than the government?”
Asked about allegations that GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms cannot share Lukoil, Borissov said: “There is nothing to share because Lukoil is a private company, subjected directly to Kremlin and the money goes there. There are violations and this must become clear, Delyan Dobrev is in Washington today and will express our concerns. The question is not which minister to resign but why this is so important.”
“We support the cabinet if it does the right things,” said Borissov.
Asked whether GERB will secure the quorum for Friday's parliamentary sitting, Borissov said that GERB-UDF are not the ones to secure the quorum.
"We are not a party which secures the quorum. This is the party which won the elections and we don't secure the quorum for those who have decided to topple the government and withdraw just for oil. Why did they not do the same with natural gas," said Borissov. "Do you remember how they replaced Gazprom for one night and we suffered enormous damages but we all said that freedom is expensive. What is the difference between the Russian natural gas and Russian oil," added GERB leader.
