site.btaTurkiye Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Its Establishment as Republic

On Sunday, Turkish citizens are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkiye. Exactly 100 years ago, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk proclaimed the Republic of Turkey.

Ceremonies are organised across the country to mark the national day, culminating in celebrations in the capital Ankara and in Istanbul.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will participate in a number of programmes to be held in Ankara and Istanbul to mark the national day. 

A variety of cultural events, including concerts by famous performers, exhibitions and more, are taking place across Turkiye on the occasion of the centennial.
