Employees of public prosecutors' offices across North Macedonia held another protest rally in the capital Skopje on Thursday, blocking streets to press their demand for a pay rise. The effective strike, which has gone into a 17th day, has been organized by the Union of Employees of the Government Administration and the Judicial System. According to the union leader, Trpe Dejanovski, 300 out of 390 employees of public prosecutors' offices nationwide took part in the Skopje demonstration.

According to Dejanovski, by setting up a working group of ministers in early October, "the government could not fool the protesters, and the strike will continue". If the strikers' demands are not met immediately, on Friday they will refuse to work on urgent cases as well, "and the judicial system will be completely paralyzed".

Meanwhile, health workers stood outside medical treatment establishments in North Macedonia for half an hour, demanding higher pay, a collective agreement and indefinite employment agreements. Ambulance sirens were sounded as a token of support for the protesters.
