site.btaAnother 84 Psychologists to Take On Drugs in Schools
The Education Ministry has organized the training of 84 psychologists whose task will be to fight drug use in schools, the Ministry said on Tuesday. Three psychologists will be assigned to each administrative district. They will be trained by the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, the General Directorate of National Police, the Customs Agency, the Health Ministry and the State Agency for Child Protection.
This transpired at another interdepartamental meeting under Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov in the framework of the coordination mechanism for combatting drug distribution.
The institutions also agreed to develop a common mechanism to counter the use and spread of drugs in schools. The Ministry of Education and Science will take on a leading role. The Ministries of the Interior, Health and Sports, the Customs Agency, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, the SACP, the National Representation of Student Councils, student councils will also be involved.
