Bulgaria’s Consulate General in Istanbul told BTA that there are no reports so far of Bulgarian nationals harmed by a major wildfire in Canakkale Province.

A total of 1,251 residents of nine villages have been evacuated after the fire broke out in the area Monday noon. Of the 95 casualties of the disaster, 20 have been hospitalized. The firefighting effort involves 28 helicopters, eight planes, and 2,960 ground personnel, TRT-Haber television reported.
