site.btaSilvia Azdreeva First Bulgarian Woman To Climb K2

Silvia Azdreeva from Petrich (Southwest Bulgaria) became the first Bulgarian woman to climb the second highest peak in the world - K2, Petrich Municipality said. 

Azdreeva stepped on K2 on July 28 at 12:53 local time, the expedition organizers said. 

In 2022 Silvia Azdreeva became the first Bulgarian to climb consecutively Everest and Lhotse - in 1 day, 3 hours and 45 minutes - and the second Bulgarian woman on Everest.  

In October she was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Petrich".
