Constitutional changes are the key focus for North Macedonia, said North Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani at a meeting with the Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Friday. "We are working on synchronizing this process with all stakeholders in the country for its successful completion by December 2023," Osmani added.

He is in Vienna to attend a conference on climate change and as chairman of the OSCE in 2023. Osmani had talks with Schallenberg on the sidelines of the conference. "North Macedonia expresses its gratitude to Austria for its strong and open support for North Macedonia's EU path and EU membership efforts for the Western Balkans", Osmani said. He stressed that North Macedonia highly appreciates Austria's support for the "concept of accelerated integration, believing that it will contribute to preserving confidence in the enlargement process".

Osmani has underlined the role of North Macedonia by hosting the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Ohrid and presented the 9-point plan for the de-escalation of the situation in North Kosovo.
