site.btaGERB Leader Boyko Borissov Proposes for State to Buy Voting Machines Such as Ones Used in USA

GERB leader Boyko Borissov said at a briefing at the party headquarters that he would propose to the National Assembly the purchase of the same brand of machines used in the US in order to conduct machine voting in Bulgaria.

He explained that this would avoid "the machine voting scam". "I promised that we would work with machines and that is why I am proposing this option", Borissov added. He said that this way the results of the elections would be ready as early as 9:30 pm on the same day.

"This is my proposal, whether my colleagues in Parliament will support it, I do not know", Boyko Borissov said.
